PathFinda Publishers · The Techno-Economist Series

Your company is an engine.
Nobody has ever measured its efficiency.

Four books, one argument. A firm takes in capital, attention and information, converts some fraction of it into something a customer will pay for, and loses the rest as heat — to queues, handoffs, rework and waiting. That fraction is a number. In most companies it sits between eight and twenty per cent, and nobody in the building has ever calculated it.

The series is the method for calculating it, and then for re-engineering the engine around what the number tells you. Book one establishes the physics. The three that follow build the infrastructure, the market position, and the version that survives a market actively working against you.

Nothing is sold on this page. The books are published on Amazon. Leave an email against a title and you will hear from me once, on the day it is live, with the link. No card, no charge, no account.

The four volumes

Each volume stands alone and each assumes the one before it. If you only ever read one, read the first.

01

Book 1 — The Thermodynamic Firm

Expected October 2026

Establishes the physics. A firm converts inputs into outputs and loses the difference as heat, and the heat is measurable in currency.

The volume to start with, and the one the other three assume.

No charge, no card, one email on release day.
02

Book 2 — The Agentic Stack

Expected February 2027

Turns the physics into infrastructure. What an execution layer must contain before you can trust it with work that matters.

For anyone about to deploy agents against a real process.

No charge, no card, one email on release day.
03

Book 3 — The Velocity Advantage

Expected June 2027

Turns the infrastructure into a market position. Cycle time as a moat competitors cannot price against.

For the person who has to sell what the engine now makes possible.

No charge, no card, one email on release day.
04

Book 4 — Sovereign Economics

Expected October 2027

Runs the whole argument through markets that fight back — unreliable power, thin capital, currency that moves under you.

Written from Lagos rather than about it.

No charge, no card, one email on release day.

What a reservation actually is

Nobody is charged anything. There is no card field on this page and no order behind it. A reservation is your email address written next to one book title, and nothing else.

Amazon sells and delivers the book. Not me. When a title goes live you buy it there, at whatever Amazon prices it, under Amazon’s terms — including their returns policy, which is theirs and not mine to promise on.

You get one email per book you reserve. Sent on the day that title is live, containing the link and very little else. If a date moves you will hear the new date and the reason from me before you have to go looking for it. Coming off the list is a reply to any of it saying so.

And the part I would want to know

Book one is a finished manuscript and the remaining work on it is production. Book two is in draft. Books three and four are outlined and not yet written, and the dates on them are estimates made by the person who has to hit them — which is exactly the kind of estimate this series tells you to distrust. I have set them late on purpose. A reservation costs you nothing, which is the honest reason it is the only thing on offer this far ahead of a manuscript.

Not willing to wait for a book about measurement?

Then take the measurement first. FrictionIQ is twelve questions, one per operational domain, scored against written anchors so that two people reading the same business reach the same number.
